After leaving Arizona and before heading off to London-town to spread the good word of Responsible Tourism to the STA Travel UK division I had a couple of stops to make. My first stop was a small town in Maine. The town’s name is Veazie, it’s the place I grew up, and a place I visit far too infrequently. In Maine I ate lobster, hiked on the rocky Atlantic coast, relaxed, and spent time with my wonderful parents, their amazing dogs (Ailsa 4, and Skye 6), and reunited with friends that I’ve known since I was five but haven’t seen in years…
Yum! 3-Lbs Lobster!!!
The winds from Hurricane Earl resulted in abnormally strong conditions on the Maine coast. For perspective on the size of the waves/sea spray take a look at the person in the top left of the photograph :)
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the perfect start to what will no doubt be a whirl-wind six weeks.
